The current cyber threat landscape has exacerbated the need to protect information and manage the security of IT systems in all organizations. While the connection of networks of IT systems makes business transactions more efficient, an increase in cyber threats also results, escalating the risk profile of all organizations, regardless of their size or industry.
To counter cyber threats and increase an organization’s resilience, regular security assurance work in the form of penetration testing, for example, must be performed. Such tests identify weaknesses that could be exploited by an attacker. They are an effective way of detecting system vulnerabilities so that organizations can address these in order to be more secure.
However, often such testing is too broad and not specific to the assets and risk profile of a given organization. From start to finish, a more targeted testing process is required to address the risk of those attacks most likely to affect the organization.
At MWR, our objective is to create a line of defense against cyber-attacks on a global scale. To do this, relevance and accuracy are needed in every test performed by our consultants, as testing the wrong systems, for example, will provide a skewed depiction of our clients’ resilience.
When performing security assurance work, our Delivery Team is responsible for the execution and management of the engagement process with our clients. Designed to ensure a thorough understanding of and proposal for each project, the engagement process ensures tailored quality on a continuous basis.
