MWR has received the Princess Royal Training Award for ongoing professional development.
London, UK – January 16th, 2019. MWR InfoSecurity, an F-Secure company, has received the Princess Royal Training Award for the second consecutive year at a ceremony held at St James’ Palace in London.
The cyber security consultancy received the award in recognition of its annual internship program, which is this year celebrating its tenth anniversary. The program offers university students across the UK a chance to experience and train in real-world cyber security, with many joining the company as full-time employees upon graduating from their respective courses.
Sam Brown, Security Consultant at MWR InfoSecurity, says, “This award recognizes the hard work and effort undertaken to create a highly skilled talent pipeline to support not only MWR but the cyber security industry as a whole. Many of our interns return to enjoy a career with us; in fact, many of our senior level and director team were once part of our internship program.”
The Princess Royal Training Awards reward outstanding training and skills development resulting in commercial benefits within companies in the UK. Upon presenting the award to MWR InfoSecurity, the judging committee recognized that the company had “responded to a critical skills shortage by strategically using learning and development to create a talent pipeline via a cyber skills undergraduate program.”
Brown continues, “With MWR’s recent acquisition, we can take the lessons learned from the internship program and apply them across the F-Secure group, growing the talent pipeline for the wider industry.”
