Black Hat Asia iOS exploitation workshop tickets available now

News

Marco Lancini is running his successful workshop on offensive iOS exploitation at the Black Hat Asia conference in March 2017 and tickets for the popular event are on sale now.

Having received positive reviews from all attendees for the same workshop at the DeepSec Vienna conference in November this year, Marco Lancini is to run it at Black Hat Asia. With more spaces available, attendees can be guided through all the steps necessary to exploit a real iOS application, and in the process, be provided with an understanding of the modern attacker's mind-set and capabilities.

“Marco is super knowledgeable and helpful! He did a great job of explaining the material and understanding the individual user’s needs.” - DeepSec Vienna attendee

Marco has been a Security Consultant at MWR since 2015, specialising in mobile applications. In assessing apps and device configurations for a number of large organisations, he is well placed to provide insights into iOS hacking, from the basics of vulnerability hunting on the platform to advanced exploitation techniques. At its conclusion, he will have imparted the information necessary to develop secure and robust applications.

“Awesome! Super-fast and a tonne of information but I feel confident I can now play around at home and do this.”  - DeepSec Vienna attendee.

As part of the workshop, attendees will also have the opportunity to play with Needle, the leading security assessment frameworks for iOS. Needle, created by Marco himself, is an open source modular framework that aims to streamline the entire process of conducting security assessments of iOS applications, and acts as a central point from which to do so.
