Talk presented by MWR

  • Time: 11:00:00
  • Room: TBC
  • Topic: Real World HPC Security
  • Speakers: John Fitzpatrick
  • Description: For a few years now I've done a lot of work with High Performance Computers, specifically HPC security. As a consequence I've found many different ways of compromising these systems, all of which came from investing the time into learning how some core components work. This talk will cover some of the most interesting outcomes and also give guidance on where to start if you like the idea of finding high impact security flaws in the technology of your choice. I’ll also provide an insight into what it is like to work in the world of security and how get into the one industry where you genuinely do get paid to break into some of the largest organisations in the world.
