Securi-Tay is an Information Security conference held by the Abertay Ethical Hacking Society, and supported by Abertay University, Dundee. We're returning this year to talk wearables!
Securi-Tay is an Information Security conference held by the Abertay Ethical Hacking Society, and supported by Abertay University, Dundee. 2015 will be the conferences fourth year, building on the success of previous years the conference has grown and remains the only student run Information Security conference in the UK, and the largest infosec Conference in Scotland.
Securi-Tay IV aims to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, while bringing students and industry professionals together and be a fun and engaging conference at the same time. The conference will be on 27th of February 2015 and we hope the three tracks of talks, challenges, after party and brilliant infosec community will make the conference one to remember.
Topic: Watch you lookin’ at?
Speakers: Jahmel Harris and Owen Evans
Smart watches allow us to view notifications and other important information at a glance, removing the need to interact directly with our smart phones. Android wearables build on top of Android, but how does it work and is our data really safe? In the talk, we’ll discuss how wearables and smartphones share information and the implications of wearing our data on our sleeves (or wrists).
