Martyn Ruks is Technical Director at MWR InfoSecurity.
Martyn has worked in the Information Security industry for over 10 years in a variety of roles including security consultant and researcher. He was accredited as a CHECK Team Leader and CREST Certified Tester for most of the past decade. Information Security is a passion which his role enables him to use for the benefit of MWR’s clients.

Martyn has remained at the cutting edge of Information Security by contributing to a number of research projects that investigated Enterprise technologies. His research into IBM’s WebSphere MQ has established him as a world renowned expert in the field.

Martyn’s current responsibilities include the development of the delivery capabilities of the team at MWR InfoSecurity and guiding the strategic direction of the company’s research activities. These are areas that fit perfectly with his experience as a security consultant and enable him to ensure MWR’s clients are provided with the most relevant and valuable services in the industry.

Martyn has a strong belief in the importance of inspiring the team at MWR by offering them challenge in the field of Information Security and a strong sense of direction within the industry. This enables him to indulge his creative side and provide opportunities for everyone to develop their skills alongside those of the company. He has been responsible for the company’s annual security conference known as MWRICON which is now looking forward to its 5th Anniversary.
