Public Sector organisations face many regulatory and compliance issues which need to be met in order to create and maintain a compliant security environment.

Public Sector buyers are required to ensure a fair and transparent process that meets EU guidelines when tendering for the purchase of new goods or services.  Traditional methods of achieving this goal have often meant long, complex, resource consuming and costly tender processes such as OJEU.

Catalist and the Specialist Solutions framework agreement allows MWR InfoSecurity to supply a wide range of IT Security Services to public sector buyers who can now benefit from reduced procurement times and a simplified tendering process.

MWR InfoSecurity has been accredited as a subcontractor (through Methods Consulting) for IT Security by OGCbuying.solutions.

Leveraging the Catalist Specialist Solutions framework agreement will;

  1. save you time by bypassing pre-purchase stages
  2. save you money because it takes advantage of huge public sector buying power
  3. ensure compliance with all EU regulations
  4. ensure quality and value for money as suppliers are closely monitored

MWR InfoSecurity also hold CHECK Green accreditation from the Government backed CESG scheme. The IT Health Check Service, or CHECK, was developed to enhance the availability and quality of the IT health check services that are provided to government in line with HMG policy. Companies belonging to CHECK are measured against the high standards set by CESG. Therefore, clients can be assured that they will receive a high quality service if the work is carried by a member of the CHECK scheme.

CHECK Service Providers analyse the systems or networks which organisations rely on to carry out their business securely and effectively by conducting a number of tests designed to identify any weaknesses utilising publicly known vulnerabilities and common configuration faults. MWR InfoSecurity provides detailed reports detailing any vulnerabilities and recommending effective security counter measures.

The CHECK Green stamp of approval was achieved following a thorough examination of the processes and procedures in place at MWR InfoSecurity and verification that a staff member has completed the CESG Assault Course and qualified as a CHECK Team Leader, proving their knowledge and ability in conducting security testing.

The CHECK scheme also ensures that members of the technical team have achieved SC level security clearance to undertake Government security testing.
